Man Going to Church in Wheelchair Hit By Car

ELYRIA, Ohio - A man in a wheelchair suffers serious injuries after being struck by a car.

Brennan Williams, 39, of Elyria has cerebral palsy.

Sunday morning, he was in his electric wheelchair on his way to church when he was hit by a car and thrown to the ground.

His caretaker, Rondalyn Brindley-Jones, said, "It was a beautiful day. I asked him if he wanted to ride in my car and Brennan is his own power of attorney. He makes his decisions, so he chose to ride up in his wheelchair."

As he approached the intersection of Clark and Warren, Williams was hit by a car and knocked out his wheelchair.
